Relaxing in the sun in Normandy

Today we are at Mont St Michel, and spent the day there. It has changed quite a bit in the 20 or so years since we were last here. You can no longer drive right up to the mount, and the walk across the causeway takes about 40 minutes. (We took the shuttle back!) The climb up to the abbey takes a while and the Abbey itself a good couple of hours, listening to the sleep inducing tones of the audio guide.

Carol standing outside the MStM post office!

We are now using our Yamaha motorcycle and it is a great asset for exploring on,

or going shopping

We had a slight problem yesterday when we had no water to wash up, it took a visit to a man at a motorhome centre near St Lo to discover that our water tank had emptied in the night because an automatic switch had dumped the water (now re-set and working fine)

This is me looking quite smug before we got completely lost!

Coming back with the shopping and the obligatory baguette sticking out of a backpack!

OK, now we can do some cooking as we have water, power shower and gas!

Here is the smug man with the van, who can.

Here is Carol hiding in a nook at Mont St Michel, she claims it is a cannon placement.

While I listen to the audio guide in the Abbey cloisters...
