Ashburton, the domain and Sharplin Falls

Yesterday we had a walk into town through the park or "domain" as kiwis call it, and walked around an exhibit of Tonga islander artwork - fascinating. In the afternoon we drove to the foothills of the mountains 25km inland and took a walk up the slopes towards Sharplin Falls. Unfortunately the track was closed at the top due to a landslip, but it was an energetic climb of a few hundred metres anyway.
