Glenrock Lagoon walk, Warner's Bay

We took the intercity train from Sydney to Newcastle this morning to stay at the Halls; Anthony and Claudette, and Shirley. And David and Mimi, David is Claudette's older brother from Cape Town.

It has been fabulous to catch up with them all after so long, and true to expectations, after lunch we went on a long walk to the coast along Glenrock Lagoon Walk, discovering all of Anthony knowledge of birds and trees along the way.

We walked around 6km to the beach and back along the eucalyptus forest and around the river creek to the lagoon, on the Yuelarbah walking track.

Came back, had a swim in their lovely salt water pool and then ate and drank, and talked for a few hours, over wine and then some whisky. therefore not much coherence to my writing tonight!
