Spanish countryside and Alicante

18th - 20th November 2013

Travelling towards Alicante we drove alongside irrigated crops with a backdrop of snow covered mountains.

We then cut through a pass just at the line of recent snow, before driving through a tunnel at about the 800m mark.

Between Alicante and the site where have our van, we drive through salt pans and there is a huge salt refinery.

In the areas around Alicante and the next town south there is a lot of building going on.

On Carol's birthday we drove around hoping to find something of interest, and eventually came across a nice view of the Med with some people surfing.

I was surprised there were waves large enough, but the surfers managed to ride a few good waves.

Today I decided to fix the puncture on Carol's bicycle. I had purchased a new inner tube but my spanners were not up to the task of removing the wheel, so I have found yet another use for Duct tape!
