Australia's sunshine coast

An hour north of Brisbane is the lovely coastline and pristine beaches of the sunshine coast.

We are up here for a short stay with Ross and Liz, some close neighbours of ours in the south of France. They have a place a short walk from the beach, and we went on a long walk along the coast this morning early for about an hour and a half, before taking a swim in the warm Pacific ocean.

The weather has been very warm, and we avoided the beach at the heat of the day, opting rather fro a drive north to Noosa, where we had a few beers and lunch together with another couple of Aussies, Pete and Jules, also of CĂ©ret fame.

the sunshine coast is not all beaches.

Do you like my true Aussie hat?
